Birthday Destiny

Didn't expect this, for it to arrive so soon,
I don't know if I'm ready, staring at the bright moon.
Thought it would last forever, twenty-one,
Where is the youth that goes with my eternal fun?

Can't stop thinking about what is ahead,
Heart full of tension, full of dread.
Have to build a life, and a career,
As the date draws near.

30 Today, they expect the perfect course
I dream of a life of freedom, riding off on a horse
The advice they give me does nothing but confuse,
So I have decided its my destiny, I shall choose.
