Thirteenth Birthday

So, you wake up yesterday and your 12,
Today you wake up... different,
Tomorrow you wake up the same,
What happened?

I remember when you were 2,
And you wet your pants all the time.
I remember when you were 4,
And you started school.
I remember when you were 6,
And you met your BFF.

I remember when you were 10,
And we shared our first sleep-over.
I remember when you were 12,
And you had your first boyfriend.
But most of all, I remember today,
your 13th birthday,
the day you became older than me.

So that's what happened, you turned old,
I have one thing to say:
My Best Friend is old and grey.
